Bhavik Patel, Ateeq Javed and Usman Shabir won the Future Leaders Award at the Lloyds TSB Jewel Awards. The Lloyds TSB Jewel Awards is a celebration of the wealth of experience, expertise and success which is becoming increasingly evident in the Asian community today. The Jewel Awards recognises the fantastic achievements and contributions made by some truly outstanding individuals within the Asian community in Britain today.

Development of Excellence

The Development of Excellence programme here at Warwickshire is set up for the most talented young cricketers (male or female) in the County. Perhaps the more popular term for this is the County Squads and encompasses a number of age groups and coaches from Under 10 through to Under 19. Indeed following a series of Winter Trials (traditionally held in October and November) the County Squads are selected for a 17 week training programme in the Edgbaston Cricket Centre from January to May each year. Starting at the Under 10 age group we over see Under 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 and 19 teams for the boys and Under 11 13 15 17 and a Senior XI for the girls.
