Warwickshire Under 12's  v  Derbyshire Under 12's (187-7/ 147 all out)

Warwickshire won by 40 runs.

In damp conditions Derbyshire won the toss and asked Warwickshire to bat. After loosing early wickets the Warwickshire batsmen continued to be positive throughout and this allowed them to finish there innings on 187-7 after 45 overs with Oliver Hayley 37 and Brinder Phagura finishing on an excellent 58 n.o. taking the honours with the bat. The Derbyshire side made a positive start to there innings but with the introduction of spin allowed Warwickshire into the game and eventually bowled Derbyshire out for 147 to give Warwickshire a deserved win by 40 runs, with Michael Waugh 3-39 Brinder Phagura 2-4 Bobby Moseley 2-22 taking the wickets.

Worcestershire Under 12's  v Warwickshire Under 12's (110 all out/ 274-7)

Warwickshire won by 164 runs.

Old Elizabethans Cricket Club

 

On a warm and sunny day, Warwickshire won the toss and decided to bat, on what turn out to be a superb batting wicket. All the Warwickshire batsmen batted well throughout, with Nick Hooper (32) Matthew Lamb (30) and Haseeb Rehman (39) making good runs. However, opener Oliver Haley scored a superb 74 with shots all around the wicket, allowing Warwickshire to finish on 274-7 off their 45 overs.

In reply, the Warwickshire bowling attack, never let the Worcestershire batsmen settle and took wickets at regular intervals, bowling Worcestershire out
for 110 in the 35th over, with Matthew Lamb 2-18 Simeon Goode 1-25 Brinder Phagura 2-3 Michael Waugh 2-8 and the ever impressive Christopher Beaumont-Dark 3-17 taking the wickets, to give Warwickshire a thoroughly deserved victory by 164 runs. 

Shropshire Under 12's  v  Warwickshire Under 12's (131-2 / 130 all out)

Shropshire won by 8 wickets.

In a 40 over game, Shropshire won the toss and asked Warwickshire to bat. The Warwickshire batsmen never got to grips with the windy conditions or the Shropshire bowling and were bowled out for 130 runs, in the 36 over with only Nick Hooper (32) and Daniel Brosnan (21) showing any form with the bat.

The Shropshire batsmen batted positively throughout there innings, putting the Warwickshire bowlers and fielders under pressure allowing them to reach there target in the 38th over for the loss of 2 wickets, with Christopher Beaumont-Dark returning figures of 8-1-12-0

Warwickshire Under 12's  v  Staffordshire Under 12's (82-1 / 81 all out)

Warwickshire won by 9 wickets.

Warwickshire got back to winning ways with an emphatic 9 wicket win over Staffordshire. Staffordshire won the toss and decided to bat. With all the Warwickshire bowlers bowling good line and length, runs were hard to come by. They were backed up by some excellent fielding, resulting in executing 3 run outs, in Staffordshire's total of 81 runs all out, in the 37th over, with all the Warwickshire bowlers returning good figures.
The Warwickshire batsmen were positive from the start and never let the Staffordshire bowlers settle. After loosing opener Matthew Clements for 12 runs. Nick Hooper (19n.o.) joined Oliver Haley (41n.o.) to see Warwickshire home, to a deserved victory in the 23rd over.

Leicestershire Under 12's  v  Warwickshire Under 12's (149 all out / 188-7)

Warwickshire won by 39 runs.

Leicester Ivanhoe Cricket Club.

 

Warwickshire continued there winning ways with a 39 run victory over Leicestershire. After winning the toss, Warwickshire decided to bat and finished on 188-7 with all the top order batsmen making a start. It was left to an excellent innings from Brinder Phagura (40 n.o.) to give Warwickshire a challenging total off their allotted 45 overs. After some wayward bowling early on, the Warwickshire bowlers eventually found there line and length and start to take wickets, with leg spinner Simeon Goode taking 3 wickets in four balls and finishing with 4-10 to help bowl Leicestershire out for 149 runs.

Gloucestershire Under 12's  v  Warwickshire Under 12's (69 all out / 70-5)

Warwickshire won by 5 wickets.

Stowell Cricket Club.

 

Gloucestershire won the toss and decided to bat, on a damp wicket, which offered assistance to bowlers throughout the game. The Warwickshire bowlers, bowled well in the conditions, putting the Gloucestershire batsmen under pressure. They were backed up by some good catches and excellent fielding, resulting in three run outs, in helping to dismiss the Gloucestershire side for 69 runs, in the 39th over, with all the Warwickshire bowlers returning excellent figures.
The Warwickshire top order batsmen found runs hard to come by early on, with only Oliver Haley (14) showing any form with the bat. It was left to the middle order batsmen to see Warwickshire home on 70-5 , with Matthew Lamb (14 n.o.) and Brinder Phagura (10 n.o.) to give Warwickshire a deserved victory by 5 wickets.

Warwickshire Under 12's  v  Nottinghamshire Under 12's (114-9 / 114 all out)

In the game to the season so far, Warwickshire tied with Nottinghamshire in a game of cricket, which was a credit to both sides. Warwickshire won the toss and decided to bat on a slow low wicket. Throughout their innings Warwickshire found runs hard to come by and ended up on 114-9 off there overs with Christopher Beaumont-Dark (18) Nick Hooper (18) and an excellent knock from wicketkeeper Daniel Brosnan (21).

The Warwickshire bowling attack made it difficult for the Nottinghamshire batsmen by bowling a good line and length throughout, resulting in that Nottinghamshire required 2 runs from 2 overs, with 9 wickets down. Off the last ball off the penultimate over, Nottinghamshire required 1 to win. On striking the ball the last pair decided to run. The ball was fielded magnificently, by the captain Matthew Lamb, who somehow managed to throw the ball, whilst he was still lying on the floor, to Matthew Clements, at the bowlers end, for a run out, to tie the game. All the Warwickshire bowlers bowled well, with Haseeb Rehman 3-20 and Christopher Beaumont-Dark 3-15 being the main wicket takers.

Warwickshire Under 12's  v  Northamptonshire Under 12's (150-5 /148-4)

Warwickshire won by 5 wickets.

Wellesbourne Cricket Club.

 

Warwickshire continued there winning ways with a resounding 5 wicket win over Northamptonshire. After winning the toss Northamptonshire decided to bat. The Warwickshire bowlers bowled well throughout and were well supported by some outstanding fielding, to restrict Northamptonshire to 148-4 off their 45 overs, with all the bowlers returning good figures.

The Warwickshire batsmen batted positively from the start with Nick Hooper (20) Oliver Haley (29) Brinder Phagura (23 no) and Matthew Lamb (47) being the main run scorers, in helping Warwickshire reach there target, with 5 overs to spare, to give them there 7th victory of the season.

Water Orton Cricket Club.

 

Warwickshire won the toss and decided to bat. After a 61 run opening partnership between Oliver Haley (17) and an excellent innings from Matthew Clements (67).  A superb innings from the captain Matthew Lamb (77 no) allowed Warwickshire to finish on 209-7 off their allotted 45 overs.

In reply the Oxfordshire batters made a steady start and were on 101-2 off 27 overs when heavy rain bought an end to proceedings.

Warwickshire Under 12's  v  Yorkshire Under 12's  (134 all out / 138-8)

Yorkshire won by 2 wickets.

Walmley cricket Club.

 

In a game that turned out to be a great advert for youth cricket, Warwickshire won the toss and decided to bat on a good wicket. A number of the Warwickshire batsmen made a start, with Oliver Haley (22) Nick Hooper (18) Daniel Brosnan (17) and Christopher Beaumont-Dark (25) with none of them going on to make a big score, as Warwickshire were dismissed for 134 in the 44th over.  In reply, the Warwickshire bowlers bowled exceptionally well throughout the Yorkshire innings, with Brinder Phagura 3-32 and Michael Waugh 2-23 being the main wicket takers. They were backed up by some excellent catches and ground fielding, as Yorkshire won with 3 balls to go, to give them a 2 wickets win.

 

Surrey Under 12's  v  Warwickshire Under 12's  (157-5 / 123-9)

Surrey won by 34 runs.

Charterhouse School.

 

In a beautiful setting, a strong Surrey side won the toss and decided to bat. Surrey batted very positively throughout their innings and it was only some very good bowling from Bobby Moseley 1-25 Michael Waugh 2-22 and Christopher Beaumont-Dark 2-10 to help restrict Surrey to 157-5 off their 45 overs After some poor shot selections, from the Warwickshire batsmen, they never got to grips with the Surrey bowling attack, as they finished on 123-9 off their allotted overs with only  Bobby Moseley (11) Matthew Clements (16) Brinder Phagura (29) and Michael Waugh (15 no) making double figures, to give Surrey a deserved victory by 34 runs.
