LEAMINGTON UNDER 11 |
Leamington win in the last over.
The under 11 final took place last night and everyone was treated to a fantastic game.
Leamington won the toss and inserted Sutton Coldfield for their 16 overs. Sutton were very responsable and mature and built up their innings to a very creditable 275 by playing for 1's and 2's and running like Olympic atheletes.
275 seemed a very big total as Sutton took two Leamington wickets with the very first two deliveries. Leamingtons batsmen however seemed to throw caution to the wind and attached at every opportunity. Scoring runs but losing wickets. The last pair need 18 off their four overs and after losing a couple of wickets need four off the last over WITHOUT losing a wicket. With three balls to go Leamington were one run ahead and after a very oohs and arrs managed to survive the last three runs.
Whow what a game all credit to both sides for a marverous game of cricket.
Congratulations to both managers Mark and Colin for all their hardwork.
