WARWICKSHIRE CRICKET BOARD IN CONTEXT
3.1 To co-ordinate the work of all individual cricketing agencies within the County ensuring that adequate channels of communication are in place and that the best possible use is made of the resources available.
3.2 To co-ordinate and prioritise the implementation within the County of the various aspects of National, Regional and Local Development Plans.
3.3 To represent the County in the formulation of National and Regional cricketing policies and the implementation thereof within the County.
3.4 To provide structures and resources, where appropriate, within the County to enable all cricketers to develop their interest in the game of cricket and fulfill their cricketing potential.
3.5 To apply for membership and be a member of any National Governing Body established for the game of cricket and to exercise and fulfill all rights and responsibilities arising there from.
3.6 To create and publish a Warwickshire Cricket Development Plan: to monitor and evaluate its effect and progress on an ongoing basis and to amend as necessary to accommodate the needs / requirements of Warwickshire cricket within the policies of the ECB and the Cricket Foundation.
3.7 To create within the Warwickshire Cricket Development Plan an annual Activity Programme.
3.8 To prioritise the implementation, within Warwickshire of the various elements of ECB national development strategies, policies and plans.
3.9 To embrace, promote and implement the principle of Sports Equality, Equal Opportunity, Child Protection.
3.10 To provide, as requested and required by ECB and the ECB Cricket Trust, such reports and information as may be necessary from time to time.
3.11 To ensure that the constitution of the Warwickshire Cricket Board is adhered to

2.1 Focus Club Community Clusters
- Increase number of Focus Clubs to 38 by 2010
- Ensure all Focus Clubs are accredited by 2008
- Deliver quality coaching programmes in 180 schools annually
- Increase number of affiliated clubs to 130 by 2010
2.2 Workforce Development
- Of all UKCC1 courses run to have achieved a 90% completion rate

2.3 Facility Development
- Develop two new Focus Club Grounds by 2010

- Six clubs to have received ECB Grant Aid facility upgrades by 2010
- 10 Performance Focus Clubs to have updated machinery via ECB fund by 2010
2.4 Competition Development
- To fulfill all ECB Mandatory Competitions by 2010 and see continued growth in all competitions
- To have developed a Girls U15 Competition linking to the Lady Taverners Outdoor
- Develop greater opportunities for Primary/ Secondary schools to play competitive cricket through the Chance to Shine Programme
2.5 Player Development Pathway
- To ensure there is appropriate platforms of opportunity for as many youngsters and young adults to participate in the game of cricket in the County of Warwickshire
- To improve the levels of Under 10 and U11 cricket by introducing more challenging hardball cricket for U9’s District level and beyond.
- To provide an improved Emerging Players Programme (EPP)b based on Minimum quality standards that feeds the County Structure sitting above it.
- To search for and develop the best young players in the County and beyond and feed them into the County development Structure at EPP and Academy Levels.
2.6 Chance to Shine
- To ensure 32 Focus Clubs are involved in the Chance to Shine Programme by 2010 providing each with an opportunity to develop strong links with their community groups.
- Increase the number of inter school matches played both at Primary and Secondary school age
- To increase the club ownership of the Programme by 2010 ensuring greater sustainability of cricket in areas of the County.
- Develop stronger links between Community Sports Coaches and Clubs to ensure more effective delivery of the programme
2.7 Women and Girls
- Have 2 senior club sides competing in the Northern Premier League by 2010
- Have a robust U13 Girls Club league with 8 sustainable club sides with a minimum of one club in each District
- Have a robust U15 Girls club League in place with 4 sides competing by 2010
- Strive to gat the Warwickshire Senior side into division one of the ECB County Championship
- Every Focus Club without provision for women and girls cricket create strong links with a club that does
- Age group squads to have reached the National finals on 4 separate occasions by 2010
2.8 Disability Cricket
- Coach in 30 special schools by 2010
- 65 active, regular cricketers with disabilities by 2010
- Support visually impaired and deaf cricketers fully by 2010
- Support Warwickshire Access CC through Focus Club and Accredited status
- Produce more England players
